Who We Are:

About FCPO

The Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO)-USA is a national non-profit law enforcement ministry comprised of Christian men and women from all areas of the criminal justice system. The headquarters is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee and there are more than 3,500 members with over sixty active chapters in the United States.

About The Houston Chapter

In August 2002, a handful of Christian police officers, jail attendants, and civilian police employees living in Houston, Texas actively banded together with a common vision to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Houston area law enforcement. This small group of Christian men and women became chartered by the FCPO in October 2002.

Our Goals

  1. Individually and through our chapter we have joined together for three purposes:

To provide support and accountability to Christian law enforcement personnel in various agencies.
  2. To learn how to become more effective witnesses for Jesus Christ to those around us.
  3. To learn how to disciple and train others to carry out the Great Commission.

There is a strong common bond shared by those in law enforcement, especially those who are Believers. We enjoy a camaraderie which cannot be imitated by anyone outside our unique profession. Because of this special relationship, we are often provided with opportunities to share our faith with colleagues considered "hard to reach" by others in the Christian community. Through FCPO we are further "banded together" to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our peers and fellow workers. Through the discipleship process, FCPO members teach others how to integrate Christ and Christian principles into their work, daily life and relationships.

Statement of Faith

We believe:

GOD: There is one God, Holy, eternally existing and manifesting himself to us in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is merciful and loves us, but is just and must punish sin.
John 14:6 & 10 Exodus 34:6,7 Matthew 28:19 John 3:16

CHRIST: Jesus Christ is God incarnate (God-man). He was supernaturally conceived, born of a virgin, was put to death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate, was raised from the dead on the third day and now sits at the Father's right hand from whence He is coming again personally, bodily and visibly to this earth.
Luke 1:26;35 I Corinthians 15:3,4 John 1:1,2,14

HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is God. He indwells all believers, having baptized them into the body of Christ at the time of regeneration.
Romans 8:9 I Corinthians 12:13, 14 Ephesians 4:4, 5

THE BIBLE: The scripture of the Old and New Testament was verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and it is the supreme and final authority for our faith and life.
II Timothy 3:16, 17 II Peter 1:20,21

GRACE: Eternal life is a free gift and cannot be earned. We are saved by grace and not by our own works.
Ephesians 2:8, 9 Romans 6:23

FAITH: All those who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior by faith and who confess Him as such before their fellowmen become heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9, 10 Ephesians 2:8, 9 Romans 8:16, 17 John 1:12

MAN: We are sinners. By His death upon the cross, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse in our place.
Romans 3:23 John 3:18 Galatians 3:13

JUDGMENT: Those who reject the love of God and the saving work of Jesus Christ will be judged and punished for sin. They will be separated from God eternally.
John 16:7-11 Jude 14, 15 John 3:36.

Our Vision

To significantly influence the U.S. Criminal Justice System for Christ, via:

• A Strategy for reaching those around us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Training in basic ministry skills of prayer, evangelism, discipleship, teaching and leadership.
• Tools to conduct an effective personal and chapter ministry.
• Support, reinforcement and encouragement from both the national office and local chapters.
• Encouragement to share the Gospel with those we care for most: our families, fellow officers and other close associates.

The Sinner's Prayer

Pray this prayer to receive Jesus Christ into your heart:

"God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died and shed His blood so my sins would be forgiven. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Jesus Christ to come into my heart and life as my Savior."
